Traditional Castile Natural Soap

A centuries-old tradition

In the history of soaps, an extremely mild soap made exclusively of olive oil was developed in the Castile region of Spain. It was a major innovation in the days of animal-based soaps. Over time, the term "castile soap" has loosened to include almost any soap with olive oil in it, but our Traditional Castile is made in the traditional way--using only pure olive oil. The bar is extremely hard and long-lasting; the lather very fine and silky.

Ingredients: distilled water, olive oil and sodium hydroxide
