Holiday Shipping Deadlines During December we will attempt to get every order shipped within 48 hours. In the final week before Christmas we will strive to get all orders out the same day (or the next morning if the order is placed during the night). The Post Office will be delivering on the 24th (Saturday); UPS will not deliver on Saturday. Orders placed by 1:00 pm December 20th (Tuesday) Priority Mail (regular flat-rate shipping, $5.95) should arrive before 24th. Orders placed by 1:00 pm December 21st (Wednesday) Priority Mail (regular flat-rate shipping, $5.95) should arrive on the 24th (based on the stated post office deadlines). Orders placed by 9:00 am December 22nd (Thursday) UPS Overnight will go out by noon the same day and UPS guarantees delivery on the 23rd. Orders placed by 1:00 pm December 22nd (Thursday) Priority Mail (regular flat-rate shipping, $5.95) will supposedly arrive on the 24th based on the Post Office estimate that Priority is 2 days. They will have extra staff, but they do not guarantee delivery times. We charge the actual shipping cost for UPS 2-day and overnight service. Normally we request your approval on the shipping charges before finalizing the order, however during the holiday season there is not time. So by placing your order with expedited UPS service you are authorizing us to add the shipping cost to your final order total when your credit card is processed.
We will be open regular hours through Christmas Eve, December 24th. Then Chandler's Soaps will be closed for the Holiday and will re-open on January 3rd. Any orders received between December 24th and January 2nd will be shipped out when we reopen on the 3rd. How is shipping calculated?We charge flat-rate shipping, just $5.95 per order, regardless of how much you order. Shipping is added in the shopping cart when you check out. What about expedited shipping (UPS 2-day and overnight)?We can ship by UPS 2-day and overnight. Overnight orders must be shipped out by 12:00 noon, so keep that in mind when placing your order. When you request expedited shipping you are charged our actual shipping costs. By selecting that method of shipment, you are authorizing us to add the shipping cost to your final total. What about international shipping?We do ship internationally, but the shopping cart doesn't calculate the shipping. If you live outside the US, the shopping cart will show $0 for shipping. We'll then figure up the weight of your order and email you with shipping options and prices. You will have to email us back and let us know how you want the items shipped and authorize us to add that amount to the total of your order. How long does it take to get an order?We try to process orders and ship them out as soon as possible. Generally they are processed the day they are received and shipped on the next shipping day (we ship Tuesday - Friday). During the holiday season it can sometimes be a bit longer due to the heavy flow of orders. Are all the products always in stock?Generally, yes. Sometimes if we have an unexpected rush on a particular soap it will go out of stock until the next batch is ready (it takes about 3 weeks for a batch of soap to be ready for sale). If you order an item that is in process of being made and there will be a delay on shipping your order, we'll let you know. In that event you could either wait for the product or change to a different scent or product. Usually there's never more than 2 weeks wait if a product happens to be out of stock. We try to stay on top of these things! What if I don't like a product once I get it?We want all our customers to be satisfied. If you receive a product that you don't like or doesn't work for you, let us know. We'll arrange for you to return or exchange it. Can I order something to be sent to someone else?Of course! If the entire order is to go to someone else, you can put their name and address in the "Ship To" portion of the shopping cart. If it's a gift, you can make a note in the "Comments" box and we'll include a note from you to let the recipient know that it's from you. To be on the safe side, when we ship to a different "ship to" address, we do NOT put the invoice in or on the box (in case it's a gift). The invoice will be mailed to you separately. We also have a number of gift baskets and other items that can be ordered to be sent to someone else. If you order a gift basket that way, put all the information in the form where you add the item to the shopping cart. We've worked it out that way so you don't get charged double shipping. You can also order items for 2 or 3 (or more) different people in the same shopping cart purchase. Can I order by phone?Absolutely!
