Patchouli Natural SoapFrom Grandma to Hippies to today's teens |
|
|
Patchouli, as a scent, has been used for a very long time. Around the turn of the (last) century, women used it as a perfume and potpourri. Some people relate the scent of things stored in the attic with Patchouli - maybe because grandma used the fragrance to perfume the items or to repel moths (or both). Later, in the 1960's it was again a very popular scent, and just recently it has come back to the forefront as a popular perfume scent. Be forewarned, though, Patchouli is a "love it or hate it" kind of scent, so we don't recommend it as a gift unless you know the recipient is a Patchouli fan. Ingredients: distilled water, palm kernel oil, olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, sodium hydroxide, stearic acid (from palm oil) and patchouli essential oil $4.50 each (4.3 oz bar)
