Unscented Soap

("Fragrance Free")

More and more people today are finding that they are "sensitive" to various scents. In its mildest form, this is the phenomena one might experience of going into a department store and starting to sneeze when you get near the perfume counter, or having your eyes water while sharing an elevator or car with someone wearing a cologne. While such sensitivities to fragrances are usually reactions to synthetic scents, they may occasionally also be brought on by plant-based essential oils. If you are sensitive to scents--or work or live with a person who is--then unscented natural soaps may be the way for you to go. You can still get the benefit and enjoyment of natural soap, without any added fragrance.

Even if you love fragrances and you have a particular fragrance you prefer to wear, then using an unscented natural soap will eliminate any potential clashing fragrance.

Either way, there are definitely times when an unscented soap is the right choice.

As an additional note, FDA rules state that a product labeled "Fragrance Free" may contain a "masking fragrance" intended to cover or camouflage the odor of the ingredients. It is our opinion that adding a "no-scent fragrance" and calling the product "fragrance free" borders on the unethical and is a practice which violates our policy of honest labeling. None of our products contain any "masking" fragrance of any kind.
